Your responsibilities:
Specific client tasks include but are not limited to the following. You will be directly working with the CEO for planning and executing client work and driving growth strategies to expand the scope of business for Seraphim.
• Strategic planning of communication strategies
• Active participation in client acquisition, pitch processes and company marketing activities
• Independent handling of various client accounts as project leader incl. management of other project members
• Media and other stakeholder relations
• Planning, organization and management of various events incl. interviews,  media roundtables, press conferences and others
• Client and project management ensuring profitability
• Research and audits
• Planning, organization and handling of third parties delivering outsourced specific services
• Media and issue monitoring
• Activity reports and other reporting

Your profile:
• Bachelor degree from a university in India or overseas
• Minimum of 6 years professional experience in strategic communications, either inhouse, PR agency or other media relations environment
• Established network with media in India, ability to build and actively engage with a large network of diverse stakeholders
• Experience in working in an international environment
• Fluent spoken and written English
• Excellent verbal communications and presentation skills
• Digital and social media skills
• Ability to go beyond the implementation of tasks and also consult clients on strategic decisions and implementation of those
• Ability to prioritize, plan well in advance and multi-task
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and deliver a quality product

Purpose and Scope of Role:
As a communications associate, you are expected to offer support to the team in managing client relationships, working closely with the senior team members to help deliver the client’s strategic objectives and scope of work. 
We are looking for a sharp and driven colleague who is starting to build and  establish a career in communications. The candidate must have excellent organizational skills and help maintain our ability to deliver excellent service and exceed our clients’ expectations. Delivering on Timelines, owning the  responsibility of work and openness to work with women leaders are key characteristics we are looking for.

This job position is specifically for professionals looking to work out of our office in New Delhi.

Main Responsibilities:
• Support the team in working on research, preparing documents such as proposals, presentations, background documents and media content.
• Be able to create and effectively communicate briefs to enable execution of desk research (media audits, market intelligence reports) and contribute to the development of client strategy and service). Deliver timely and high-quality documentation (e.g. briefing notes, agendas, biographies etc.) that requires minimal quality control.
• Be informed and provide regular updates about all relevant media stories around client’s business and industry, covering trends, issues and challenges.
• Build and develop excellent client knowledge and understanding –be able to give concise and credible overviews of each client’s business, strategic communication objectives and PR strategy at all times.
• Develop and nurture good relationships with targeted and relevant journalists, analysts and any other key contacts; as well as colleagues and third-party vendors and service providers of Seraphim.
• Deliver relevant and consistent press coverage to clients by managing media coverage on a daily basis.
• Be able to effectively manage upwards internally –identifying issues that affect client satisfaction. Be able to direct and develop the work of associates within account teams.
• Build and improve Seraphim’s visibility on its own social media channels (Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram) as well as website, with relevant topics and content.
• Support new business processes and opportunities, by contributing to and playing an active part in the production of proposals, pitch documents and pitch events.
• Draft and help to maintain detailed client case studies.
• Maintain first class administration and organization of all client activities.

Person Specification and Requirements:
• 2+ years’ experience in the communications industry is essential, either in-house or at a consultancy, in the field of corporate communications, reputation management, crisis communications, or science communications.
• Significant project management or account management experience.
• This role requires a diligent, analytical, and conscientious individual who thrives on delivering excellent results.
• Excellent media handling skills: solid knowledge and network within national and International media.
• Able to demonstrate past success in the delivery of high-quality media coverage.
• The role requires someone that is able to work in a complex and time pressured environment with multiple clients.
• Knowledge of other European languages would be welcomed.
• Our successful candidate will be educated to degree level.
• Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
